Description
Tethral is seeking a tactically involved Fractional CFO to partner closely with the founder during a critical inflection point—finalizing MVP, preparing for a seed raise, and building financial infrastructure for post-funding growth. This role will own key responsibilities including: developing and iterating financial models and forecasts, stress-testing unit economics, guiding allocation strategy, overseeing early cash management and burn tracking, and supporting the creation of investor materials such as budgets, use-of-funds plans, and milestone-based spend frameworks. You’ll also help establish early financial hygiene—lightweight systems for tracking spend, reporting, and compliance—without introducing unnecessary complexity. Ideal candidates have previously supported venture-backed startups through successful raises and can move quickly, offer judgment on fundraising strategy, and plug into the business 8–12 hours/month during peak phases. Compensation includes equity (0.25–0.5%) and the option for deferred or milestone-based payment, with flexibility to scale involvement as the company grows.
